This is a website that was announced at the Powerpoint September last Friday.
Ignite is a next generation social networking website for teenagers that was launched this summer by Scripture Union Scotland.
The site has four main areas:
Engage
Engage … with the world around you through news, reviews and having your say on the headlines. Also find out what’s on in the events diary
Seek
Seek … information about ignite, SU Scotland and the Christian faith. Find out who they are, what they do and how you can get involved.
Delve
Delve … into issues of life, faith and relationships from a Christian perspective. Explore the Bible’s story and how to develop your relationship with God.
Play
Play … flash games, chat, listen to music from Christian artists. Check out the centre webcams, enter competitions and send ecards to your mates.
Check out Ignite

Two of my daughters went on camp last year. Only one went this year – the other had to cancel due to illness. Only one of them gets to go on Ignite – and it took her about a month to manage it. When are you going to open up Ignite so that all the other kids who were at Powerpoint in September, but didn’t go on camp this year, can access it? This wasn’t made plain at Powerpoint, and it’s disappointing when they were all sent home with the leaflet. Are you going to organise it through church youth teams/ school teachers? Is there any way we youth group leaders / teachers can see what’s going on on Ignite ourselves??
Hi Anne, thanks for the comment.
Ignite is run by SU Scotland and not the team at Powerpoint and therefore, for our part at least, the leaflets were handed out simply to make people aware of the site. As far as I can see, and quoting from the website: “for the immediate future the only way to be invited to join ignite’s community is to attend one of SU Scotland’s holidays or other residential events for secondary-aged teenagers” (no doubt you have already seen this).
The only thing I could suggest would be to contact the ignite team directly:

Sorry we can’t be of any more help
