November Updates…

Well hello there. If you haven’t already, check out our new website – it has all the information you could ever need and more.

Also, have you seen this:

Kris – he’s a good ‘un and we look forward to being entertained by him (erm…).

Please also sign up to our mailing list to keep informed about what’s going on and maybe consider following us on Twitter; I’ve no idea why you would, but I’m told it’s what people do these days to avoid going outside.

We hope you are as excited about the imminent return of Powerpoint and we hope to see hundreds of new faces there. The team have been working hard to ensure fun, fellowship and food for all… including the introdution of “The Cake Lady”… oh yes, it will happen.

But enough about us… how are YOU?

New Site… New Event

Hey all

What do you think of the new site?! Kudos to Chris for some great work and for the best event job title in the world… Visual Communications Manager don’t you know. It’s only bettered by Tim’s succinct job title of Miscellaneous-Venue-Logistics-Manager-and-Member-of-the-Band-(bass)-I-Also-Do-Stunts.

So there you have it… some of the hard work of the last four months has been revealed and on the first of each month, we intend to reveal more, right up until the 5th Feb… eat my youth event!

Speaker for February? Check… Pete Greig (Hiooooooooooooooo)

Speaker for March? Check… Kevin McGlade from 29th Chapter (Come on…!)

More news to follow….

That’s It…!

Hey all

I hope you’ll agree that Powerpoint was an absolute blast on Friday night… going out with a Bang I believe it’s called. Nick spoke brilliantly and there was some awesome ministry going on… and what a venue!

We’re sorry that that is Nick’s last Powerpoint in charge – the man is an absolute legend and his legacy will continue for many many years to come. Not sure about you, but I found it quite emotional. We hope to get the clips up on youtube so we can see what Nick looked like all those years ago!

As mentioned on Friday, that is officially it for Powerpoint in 2009. We are now taking a well earned break and taking some time to redevelop the event for a relaunch next year. We are really sorry to being taking such a long break but the view is that to ensure this ministry reaches its full potential, we really need to take some time to rebuild the event, the team and the programme. Powerpoint will be back on Friday 5th February 2010 and we’re really pleased to confirm that we have already lined up Pete Greig to speak. This guy is a legend, highly influential and a great speaker, so we fully expect lives to be changed on that night and we’re already excited as we start to plan.

If you feel that you have something you would like to contribute to the “all new” Powerpoint next year, or if you have any comments about the changes, we would love to hear from you – please contact us at – We are always keen for people with experience and a desire to serve in:

Worship leading
Speaking / preaching
Production and lighting
Website development
Video production / acting
Marketing of the event
Anything else…

A good guide is; if anything frustrates you, then why not look to get involved in making it better…. this ties in very effectively with what Nick was talking about on Friday evening.

Big thank you to everyone who worked so hard this year to make Powerpoint such a success… here’s to a great summer!
